Nude Floral Manicure over Tiffany Blue Polish

This manicure is a copy of a manicure I saw on Pinterest.  Here is the original.  The base color for this manicure is Wet 'n Wild I Need a Refresh Mint.  I used a dotting tool to make the flowers.  I used an old white polish for most of the flower centers.  I used China Glaze Foie Gras, Revlon Colorstay Stormy Night, A old pinky nude Sally Hansen polish (Wet 'n Wild Megalast Private Viewing is similar), Zoya Harley, and Wet 'n Wild Sugar Coat for the flowers.  I really like this manicure.

Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Pacific Blue with Hard Candy Black Tie Optional

This is Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Pacific Blue with Hard Candy Black Tie Optional layered on top.  Pacific Blue is hands down the stinkiest polish I own. It smells like nail polish mixed with sulfur (rotten egg smell). 

Bright Colored Flower Stamps

We got 18 inches of snow the other day and I am not happy about it.  I planned to fight back with a bright, spring manicure. This didn't end up as bright as I wanted, but it is still springy.  The base is an old bottle of white polish and I stamped it using the Salon Express kit.  I stamped with Essie Brazilliant, Sally Hansen Pacific Blue, Wet 'n Wild Megalast Tropicalia, and Wet 'n Wild Megalast I Need a Refresh Mint (I'd swap this one for a different color next time). 

Wet 'n Wild Nail Pail

I want to let you know about a good deal on one of my favorite nail polish lines, Wet 'n Wild Megalast.  My info comes from this Nouveao Cheap  post.
Wet 'n Wild's summer nail pail this year is a cute wicker basket filled with:

7 Megalast polishes
1 Top Coat
2 nail files
2 toe seporatoes
1 nail buffer

The nail basket retails for 10$.  Megalast polishes retail for 2$ a piece, so this is a pretty good deal.  Wet 'n Wild Megalast are some of my favorite polishes.  The wear longer on me then any other polish and they have a fabulous wide flat brush.  The above link says these baskets are at Bed, Bath, and Beyond, but I've seen the Wet 'n Wild Nail Pails at CVS before and I'd assume they will also show up there too.  Here are the polishes in the basket with links to the ones I own. 

Break the Ice- Shear white shimmery polish.  Great for glitter sandwiches (one coat polish, one coat glitter, one coat polish) or with simple nail art.  I really like this one. 
I Red a Good Book-  The absolute 100% perfect red cream polish.
Through the Grapevine-  Perfectly fine color.  Too purple for my taste, but I don't like purple polish.
Candylicious-  Perfect Barbie pink.  I loved it.  post 2
I Need a Refresh Mint-  Tiffany blue.  A dead on dupe for the cult favorite polish China Glaze For Audrey.  I get lots of complements on this color.
On a Trip-  Burple (a name made up by the online nail polish community for a color between blue and purple).  I don't own this one.
Club Havana-  I don't own this one.  Fun summer orange.

Wet 'n Wild Megalast Break the Ice

This is Wet 'n Wild Megalast Break the Ice, 2 coats.  I wouldn't wear this polish like it is shown above, but I do love it as a base for nail art.  It is sheer white with shimmer.  3 coats will disguise most of the visible nail line.  Click here and here for posts with Break the Ice manicures with simple nail art. 

Wet 'n Wild Megalast Candylicious

This is Wet 'n Wild Megalast Candylicious. I love Megalast polishes.  They wear amazingly well on me and have a fantastic flat wide brush.  I think this is the perfect version of a Barbie pink color.  I love it!  I added another picture of this polish (left) with mediocre butterfly stamping using the Salon Express kit. 

Wet 'n Wild Megalast Through the Grapevine

This is Wet 'n Wild Megalast Through the Grapevine.  This is the old formula.  The new bottles have a different shape.  I love Megalast polishes.  They wear like iron on me, they have a wide brush (love), and are only 2$.  I prefer pinker versions of this color, but that is just my personal preference. I'm not much of a purple polish person, and this leans too purple for me.

Black and White Flowers

The base for this one is Wet 'n Wild Megalast Break the Ice.  For the flowers I used a dotting tool, a random old black polish, and Wet 'n Wild French White Creme.  I was inspired by a manicure I saw on pinterest.  I liked this one.  I thought it was cute. 

Wet 'n Wild Megalast I Need A Refresh Mint

This is Wet 'n Wild Megalast I Need a Refresh Mint.  It is pretty and springy.  I am a huge fan of Megalast polish.  It wears like iron on me and has a large flat brush, which I love.  Plus, you can't beat the 2$ price tag.  I Need a Refresh Mint is a lovely Tiffany blue shade. Comparison pictures online show it is the exact same color as cult favorite China Glaze For Audrey (as in Audrey Hepburn, star of Breakfast at Tiffany's).   If you  like this color, but prefer China Glaze's formula, get that one.  This is another polish color that looked better on my paler spring skin tone then my slightly tanner summer hands. It is worth trying a polish color you aren't fond of in the winter and summer, just in case the color looks better in a different season.

OPI I Think In Pink

This is OPI I Think In Pink with Wet 'n Wild Megalast Candylicious for the french tip.  I used my new nail art brushes I bought from Amazon to make the french tips.  I like my manicure better this way.  I think I did an O.K. job for my first time using my nail art brushes and my second grade level art skills.

Above is OPI I Think In Pink by itself, 3 coats.  I don't really like this polish.  It is sheer and the color is too cool for me. 
I read online that if you add a coat of top coat between the polish layers and let it dry completely before adding another layer (about 15 minutes) that a sheer polish will become opaque in fewer layers.  I tried this procedure on this manicure and on my Easter manicure using Wet 'n Wild Megalast Sugar Coat.  It did not work.  The polishes took the same number of coats to become opaque as they usually do.
